classic movie interiors: "who was that lady?"
While stretching this morning, I was treated to an amazing set design that just made me absolutely giddy! Thanks to the awesome oldy but goody Antenna T.V. channel, where I get my nightly Hitchcock fix, I found the apt. home of my dreams!
The 1960's film, "Who Was That Lady" with Dean Martin, Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh, James Whitmore and many, many more. The set designer was James Crowe, and I think him to be brilliant!
Tony and Janet live in a one bedroom apt.; the living area is on one level, the kitchen on another and the bedroom is a loft! They have a huge wall of bookshelves, with a library ladder to boot. Lots of art for a super salon wall. The decor is the perfect balance of curvy Hollywood Regency, clean modern lines and lots of stylish worldly goods. Take note of the hanging fixtures in the kitchen and loft.
The photos are not great, I cut them from a clip on YouTube, but you get the idea of how classically stylish this home is!
Stairs up to the kitchen, love the white brick wall. Janet is rocking her LBD like nobodies business!
I'm so loving the little metallic Chinese cabinet in the foreground.
Notice the curtain beyond the brick wall? I'm guessing there is a balcony on the other side of it.
An unfortunately fuzzy pic of the bedroom loft, but isn't the lighting fixture stunning?!

STILL looking for a good home...steve madden snakeskin peeptoes [price reduction],
My summer does not end on Labor Day, but with the changing of the leaves, I will soon begin the wardrobe transition from S/S to F/W. I thought I'd get a jump on the shoes to make way for new must haves!
I love these Steve Madden Luxuryy Natural Snakes, but I am bit more comfortable in a 3 inch heel than I am in a 4½ inch heel. So needless to say, I have never worn these lovelies. They are a 7.5 with the aforementioned 4½ inch heel. $60,$50 shipping included.
Sadly, these sassy cage booties have never been worn either =( Nine West Yung, Black Patent. 7.5 with a 4½ inch heel. $60, shipping included. KEEPING!!!
These Timberland Charles Street Lexiss Waterproof Boots are still in circulation. As you can see in the reviews on Zappos, they run a ½ size bigger, which is why we need to break-up. I have worn them once, to the movies, and clearly I did not look in the mirror before I left because when I went to wear them last December, I looked like I was wearing clown shoes. Nothing against people with a size 8 foot, but I am a true 7.5, these puppies may actually fit an 8.5 even.
So, they are a 7.5, but would fit an 8 or 8.5, worn once, still in great condition, available for ½ off.
$115, shipping included.
Contact me at TCSTYLIST1@GMAIL.COM if interested in adding any of these shoes to your family. Payment will be through PayPal.

dining in [fit food]: t's simple grilled salmon on a bed of kale & lentils
A new fit food favorite, super tasty and so good for you!
T's Simple Grilled Salmon
3-4 oz. salmon fillets
Extra virgin olive oil
S & P
Heat grill to 350°. Drizzle olive oil over salmon fillet. Season with S & P. Grill salmon seasoned side down, 3-4 minutes. Baste non-seasoned side with olive oil and flip over, grill 2-3 minutes.
1 Bunch kale, stemmed and sliced, or baby kale
1 Shallot, thinly sliced
3 T Champagne vinegar
1 T honey
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
¼ C Extra Virgin Olive Oil
S & P
2 C cooked French lentils
Add the kale and shallots to a large bowl and set aside.
Whisk together vinegar, honey and mustard. Slowly whisk in olive oil and season with S & P. Pour over kale and shallots and toss for 3 minutes, gently bruising the kale. Once the kale looks soft, toss in the lentils. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for 1 hour before serving.

hello friday...
the day started with a text from C, then Porter and I took his best buddy Thurman for a walk, picked a few tomatoes, found a Flicker feather (for a future necklace), made a pot of hot coffee (it's only 60°) and now I'm diving in to those relics known as magazines and books for some client research...
