I was able to get in to the King Tut exhibit on Friday, what a fascinating civilization that was Ancient Egypt...
and what a fantastic exhibit! An artistic and spiritual civilization, even their hieroglyphs used to record history are visually stunning. And there love of gold would give our "Gilded Age" of the 19th century, a run for it's money.
While going through the exhibit, I was inspired by the beauty of the gilded pieces and the many stones they quarried for pyramids, statues and jewelry. I have found some small figurines online that will make fun accessories for a home, with added history and meaning behind them.
With Pantones Colors of 2011 being inspired by exotic locales, I think the Ancient Egyptians will fit right in.
