style board: color trends 2011 silver peony, modern glam living room

Whew, finished! Silver Peony from Pantones Color Report Spring 2011 was a bit of a challenge for me. Pastels, well pink and anything purple, are always a challenge for me, but I am happy with the results...

the paint was the 1st step then the wall covering. The big floral pattern is feminine and glam, especially with the black background, but that black background also helps to modernize the style. I would cover the window wall with the wall covering and use the striped fabric for drapes. Again the marriage of floral and stripes; classic and modern, bring a fresh twist to such a girly color.

The Silver Peony is more of an accent color in this modern glam living room, but the graphic feel of the black and white with the punch of emerald, well, me likey!
